Ringgold Elementary School
The principal of Ringgold Elementary School's told me she had three bathroom dividing walls she wanted painted. This is the concrete block wall that directs traffic left or right - to the girls' or boys' restrooms. I suggested that the three painted walls be of different environments so that it would be relevant to things students would actually be learning.
On all three murals, I asked the fifth grade teachers to allow some of their best students to assist me, hoping to inspire them and create a lifelong memory. Their names are painted along the bottom.
This coral reef environment, like the other two murals, features my youngest son as a caricature.
